| In April 2010 Pastor Steven Sanderson, 27, definitely came as no stranger when he began his ministry at Mt. Zion. His first sermon here was just before Christmas of 2006. In four years, he has preached at numerous churches among the counties of Winston, Fayette, Franklin, and Marion in Alabama. He has served as pastor for three years including his previous service at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Fayette, AL.
Steven graduated from his hometown at Belmont, Mississippi and later married Lisa, who graduated from Red Bay, Alabama. (Belmont and Red Bay are school rivals.) The two love-birds married on October 10th, 2003 and received their greatest Christmas present five days early in 2005, a daughter Lily. Almost four years later, Lily found someone to share her toys with. On September 29th, 2009 she finally got her little “Bobo” Max. Steven has an Associates of Arts from in Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, MS and is also a graduate from Liberty Home Bible Institute out of Lynchburg, VA. He is currently studying at Liberty University and expects to receive a Bachelors of Science in Religion along with another Associates in Religion in May 2011. |
